It’s a Metrostitchers tradition to start a new project each New Year. I’ve been so re-missed to start on my new year start. But no more. I also wanted something French to work on during the holidays when my friend Theresa went to Paris for her holidays. I managed to work through the holiday
season. However, I have not forgotten about this start. Yesterday, I took out the fabric and zigzagged it with the sewing machine.

I’ve been wanting to start this piece ever since I purchased it in Uzés, France, so many years ago at LOLA ROSSA. The kits in France are so expensive, that it’s hard to part with the Euro to buy them. It’s nice to stitch something and be transported ever so slightly to another country and time. It’s worth every penny. I strongly recommend getting souvenirs on your trips that you can use as often as possible.
