Yes, I’ve joined the bandwagon and mine is done! It was in fact finished last year. I just took a long time to wash and block it. In fact, I tried wearing it before blocking and didn’t like it much. The yarn shed like you wouldn’t believe!

- Changes and Notes:
- I made some use of these notes and I found them to be helpful. I only used a couple of markers until I got the hang of the pattern. Then I saw the logic of the stitches and used the purl stitch instead of the markers since all the purl stitches would be dropped. (There is likely a slight little length difference between purl and knit stitches when dropped but I’m not sure that matters to me.)
The yarn splits very easily and it’s very annoying. The stitches are very difficult to drop and some balls have bad joins. While the yarn has good qualities, I’m not sure I’d use it again for this pattern. I had to work very hard to drop the stitches because the stitches sticks easily to each other. If I’m doing something that needed the cutting ofsleekssteeks, I’d use SWS in a moment.
I tried very hard to keep the stripes of color consistent from ball to ball. I had purchased the balls in bags and was able to have quite a few of the same dye lot to pick from which is important. There is a big difference between dye lots of a color-way in this yarn. Make sure you get enough for a project. At times, I had to cut the yarn to make sure the striping was lining up correctly.
As the yarn was fuzzy, I was happy to use needle-felting to join the yarns so that there were less ends to weave in. The slightly bulkier and fuzzier joins are not very noticeable knitted into the scarf and I’m happy with how they look.

I’ve a clapotis that I’m knitting for my best friend in NZ, too….however, it’s been sitting in the UFO box for about a year when I threw it into the frog pond last December and started to re-knit it…but now it’s back in the UFO box again. *sighs*
This is so lovely!
