Following Numenna I found this nice little sock pattern: slippedstitch: boyfriend socks pattern
I’m really interested in making it for G’s next pair of socks. I still owe him a nice matched pair after the fiasco of the last pair. He still wears them anyway.
This might be what’s needed to get me knitting again. Either that or when I finish the cross-stitch piece. I’ve printed out the pattern. And I’m going to look for a yarn to use. Might even manage some swatching tonight.

I like the looks of that sock. I have no idea what a figure eight cast on is, though.
