If you use Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and flickr, it might be in your workflow to upload your finished photos to flickr.
At first, I would export the photos from Lightroom and upload to flickr separately, but I found a slightly faster way. (I only know this works on OSX, no clue what to do with it on windows.)
1. You must use flickr uploadr. I make an alias to flickr uploadr.
I take this alias and put it in the following directory:
/users/~yourlogin/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Export Action

2. When you go into your export file dialog, Flickr Uploadr is now an option in postprocessing:

et voila! Uploading to flickr is now an option for post-processing. Saves me a couple of steps. Hopefully it’ll save you a few steps too.

Works in Windows XP too. Put Flickr Uploadr shortcut here…
C:\Documents and Settings\[USERNAME]\Application Data\Adobe\Lightroom\Export Actions\
You can also just go to the Export Dialog and select “Open Actions Folder” or something similar in the post-processing section and the correct folder will be opened.

Also works on Vista, but you have to use a tweak util to open the folder: “C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom

What if I only want to export to Flickr and not to another folder on my PC?
I can’t figure out how to arrange the export to do just that.

I haven’t found a way to do it directly into flickr and then have the files be erased automatically. But doing that haven’t bothered me enough to attempt to explore or script it.
There’s been quite a few times when my uploads have hung or failed in flickr uploader and I’ve had to upload again. I’ve used the exported files to do so, I can see how they are helpful in that regard.
Maybe it should be a feature request to have a ‘clean up’ option for the export to upload or email types of settings.

@NatCk: Thanks for the tip. On my first test, it worked perfectly.

@May: If you are using OS X, set the export directory to be /tmp and the operating system will clean up the files for you!
