Some very beautiful pieces. I’m not a reader of Piecework Magazine so I was not aware of this contest. It looks like a great way to promote needlework. I also like the idea that the nominations are by shops (I’m assuming their Local Needlework Shop -LNS). I think I like the idea that there are shops out there with good relationships with their customers. It’s the way it should be.

I’ve been getting Piecework for years, and the current issue which featured photos of some of the prize winners was a delight. I agree, I like that the pieces are nominated by shops and I like the variety of needlearts represented. Isn’t Piecework published by Interweave Press, who publishes a magazine you like? Piecework periodically has issues dedicated to knitting – you should keep an eye open for it.
