There’s a certain kind of stuck that if you had friends around, you’d be out in two seconds, but when you are alone, You stay stuck.
Then there’s the kind of stuck that if you don’t have friends around, you’ll get out of, but those around you tends to pull you down.
My cross-stitch is having a case of the first as I’ve moved away from my cross-stitch buddies and there’s no one to hold my hand.
See this? It’s missing some Rhodes Hearts*:
Then it would become this.
I’m finding the diagram for for this heart to be ridiculously difficult to read and figure out. On top of that, it’s over one, on top of my over two cross-stitches. Makes one want to pull out hairs.
I honestly thought this would be a fun easy to stitch piece. For the most part, it was. But now, stuck-o-rama.
Next: I’m going to try to scan the chart to enlarge the diagram and see if I can make some heads and tails of it. I guess I’m at the eye sight where a 1×1 inch square diagram for a 40 step speciality stitch is too small to read.
*This diagram that I found to illustrate what this looks like, seems slightly easier to read then the one that came with the chart, it’s not really the same, but if I can’t get the other one worked out even after I blow it up, I’m going with this one.

Nice works.
This piece is great without the “er” at the end! You should totally leave it off, it’s really clever & funny that way.
I stumbled across your blog, and I think Victortia Sampler’s stitch animations might help? Link is: http://www.victoriasampler.com/VS_Club/Animations/ . There’s a Rhodes Heart under “Surface Stitches”. Personally, I do much better with animations/video than stitch diagrams. Hth!
