Pattern:
Blue Sky Alpaca’s Bobbi Bear by Bobbi Intveld
Yarn:
Lion Brand Nature’s Choice Organic Cotton in Pecan
Needles:
US 9, 5.5mm Bryspun dpns
Date Started:
Feb 2nd, 2008
Date Finished:
Feb 22nd, 2008
Modifications:
None. But I did stuff as I went along.
Will I make it again?
Yup. It was almost too cute to give away. I’m sure I’ll make another one. It was fun to make and super cute.
Recipient:
Charlie
Occassion:
His first birthday.

I was trying to be more eco conscious with the choices for this gift. I wanted a cotton and was pleased to find a colour that was suitable. The yarn called for was out of my price range, and there were no source for a colour I liked, so I went for something else.

I even managed to find a more eco friendly fiber-fil (Ingeo) at Walmart of all places. It’s made with natural by-products (corn, etc), and was super nice to work with. I’ll be getting it again. The web has loads of mixed reviews about this stuff, but I found it worked well for stuffing.

Heard from Charlie’s mom that he smiled when he saw the bar. That’s all I can ask for, after all, he’s turning One! Happy Birthday Charlie!
