Saturday was the preview for the PassionKnit Annual Yarn Sale. The sale runs for all of June – Their new website. [Thanks Patty!] their website is down. (a real pet peeve of mine! Why have a site if you’re not going to keep it up or update it! But I digress…) New yarns are 10% off, older stock up to 50% discounted. Sadly, I have a love-hate relationship with the store due to it’s limited hours and uneven shopping experiences. But lately, I’ve had good experiences in the past few trips.
I made the best of the sale too get some goodies that I’ve been wanting but can only buy on sale:
Also picked up the Sirdar Eco Wool DK book, which I love for the Cabled Yoke Cardi (Ravelry). I had originally wanted to make Carmela’s Cardigan (Ravelry) from Patons new book Top Down Classics. They are similar sweaters, and I’m much happier making a sweater using DK rather than Chunky yarn. Currently working on Urban Aran(Ravelry) and it does hurt my hands, so need to only work on it in little chunks. Oh sure, who knows when I’ll get around to actually knitting Cabled Yoke Cardi, but I like the planning and dreaming.
