Writing at about 11:30pm on June 2nd:
After a break, during which Hanami finally was finished (fresh off the needles yesterday), the rest of the instructions for Ornette came in for test knitting. I jumped right to it and finished off the left foot where I had left it, at the toe. I now show off proudly, the left Ornette sock.
Mine is a modification, from a Size L at the cuff (which still doesn’t seem like it’s loose enough to pull up as high as I would like), which then tapers to a size M from ankle to rest of foot.
Off to cast on for right foot, which I vow to not knit any mistakes into…. I just couldn’t help myself with that left one there. No one will really see the mistakes but me, however, I want to do a good job test knitting it and will adhere to pattern stitches 100% for sock 2. After all, I now know what I’m doing…:)
