I love to enter blog contests, but don’t often win. Recently I entered Fat Quarter Shop’s blog contest and won (Seriously, FQS is just about my favorite online fabric store)! The patterns arrived today and am very pleased. It’s always great to win something and to discover some new designers.

Comment on: WordPress is for more than blogging
September 25th, 2009 No Comments
What I Learned Today… » Blog Archive » WordPress is for more than blogging I’m so glad that someone with influence in libraries and in education for libraries is of the opinion that WordPress may be a better CMS than Drupal or Joomla in certain cases. It’s always a matter of finding the right tools [...]

This is what happens when you neglect the blog for a while. It all goes to crap. Oh well, as you can see the theme and graphics are messed up. Will have to investigate this further. Or might even start from scratch with a new one. I’ve been neglecting upgrades and now it’s come to [...]

Making it official

Nothing helps cement a new identity more than business cards. I didn’t have the time to design my own this time around, so I went for one of the prepackaged sets from moo that was me. It came right at the estimated delivery time last month. I’m all set for the next networking opportunity.

Some CSS Reference
February 19th, 2008 No Comments
SitePoint CSS Reference Looks like a nice site for CSS info. Bookmarking it for future reference. Don’t know if it’ll replace my handy CSS reference sheet. Sometimes, it’s still easier for me to refer to paper than look up something online. Especially when I’m testing with a lot of browsers and browser windows/tabs open. It [...]

[via] Information Architects Japan Web Trend Map 2007 Version 2.0 Information Architects Japan Web Trend Map 2008 beta I particularly enjoy the explanations of the inside jokes, which are very entertaining if you have some understanding of Tokyo and of Web Trends. Chinese Culture Versus German Culture » Adino Online
October 17th, 2007 No Comments
I’ve been quite behind in my blogs reading lately….Found this little gem which was from a while ago. [via] Chinese Culture Versus German Culture I’d say that while the project is to reflect between German and Chinese cultures, it’s pretty accurate to what I’ve seen here in North America (the German culture as reflective of [...]
